"Since its establishment in 1978, METCO has played a significant role in the technology market."

How has METCO adapted to the changing telecommunications landscape?

Since its establishment in 1978, METCO has played a significant role in the technology market. The founder, the chairman of Towell International Holding in Kuwait, envisioned introducing new private branch exchange (PBX) technology to connect people. The company partnered with Nortel, a Canadian company, and became its strategic partner in Kuwait, which AVAYA later acquired. METCO has been agile in adopting new technologies and has expanded its portfolio from PBX to wireless networking, IP networking, data centers, and passive works. METCO has established the entire Kuwaiti mobile network and expanded it worldwide with Zain. METCO operates in Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Sudan. METCO has become a full ICT solutions provider, offering end-to-end services from designing, implementing, and providing customer care to procurement and after-sales solutions.

What strategies does METCO employ to meet the unique needs of its client base?

We specialize in integrating solutions to meet the needs of our clients. We can deliver a solution directly or work with a vendor to provide the best solution possible. We have two types of partnerships with vendors: strategic and standard. Our strategic alliance is mainly with Avaya on Unified communication, which includes voice solutions, contact centers, unified communication solutions, and applications. We are the only company in Kuwait with a Diamond Co-Delivery Partner with Avaya due to our vast resources and experience. We hold a dominant market share of the contact center market in Kuwait, a source of pride for us. Our strategic partner in networking and wireless solutions is HPE Aruba, which specializes in networking solutions. We consider our clients our partners because we would not exist without them. Regardless of their size or sector, we treat all our clients equally. We have portfolios for small and medium-sized businesses, enterprise-level private industries, and the government sector. We also work extensively in the oil and gas sector, providing various fiber and network connectivity solutions. Many of our projects are in collaboration with telecommunication operators.
