Rajesh Seth

Managing Director, Red Sea Cable Company

The Saudi construction sector has seen a significant boom, and with this comes a high demand for cables. As for the international market, we are now exporting to a few countries in the Middle East as Saudi products are being recognized as being consistently high-quality products. Our medium-voltage cables products are in good demand due to megaprojects across the Kingdom, and we plan to expand into high-voltage and extra-high-voltage cables production soon. Our products are mainly derived from metal and insulation material. We also ensure minimum waste in production process or waste generation process. We are looking into investment in inline recycling and making our manufacturing process more sustainable. We are continually striving to adopt ways that will add credibility to our efforts to be positive contributors to human friendly environment. Renewal energy will eventually become a game-changer in Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector. In the coming years, we will work on our project for the high-voltage and extra-high-voltage segments. With entry into this segment, we will transition from the mid to niche end of the technology. Our vision is to be partner in industrial growth story of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Borjan Sehovac

CEO, Riyadh Cables Group (RCG)

Globally and regionally, the cable market is fairly strong, triggered by the major trend of the energy transition, which requires a large amount of cables for wind farms, solar, and renewable power plants. Our turnkey services are the most profitable, as we have always had a good history of being pioneers in it, being also the only cable company able to provide this service. We definitely plan to expand the solutions business further. Moreover, services like monitoring and maintenance also have good profitability. In fact, we are growing in the solutions business, having secured major turnkey projects in the UAE and Kuwait. We have also secured in the Kingdom the first 380-kW turnkey project, the highest level of cable voltage needed in the Region. In fact, RCG is one of the few companies capable to supply this niche product. Many of our clients require us to work sustainably; for example, they expect us to recycle, and today, we are able to penetrate these markets because of our sustainability level. Furthermore, in the markets that we work in, especially in Europe and Australia, it is fundamental to work sustainably.
