How does your portfolio reflect the changing economic environment and needs of the country?

Since 1999, UPS has been represented in Oman by F.A.S.T.C.O as its authorized service contractor. We have worked with the team to continue improving service delivery as well as developing the marketing mix in order to respond to the fast-changing demand in Oman. In terms of service delivery, we have been successful in expanding our service footprint beyond Muscat. We were one of the first international express delivery services to initiate operations in Duqm. On international services, we have worked in collaboration with UPS to better connect our customers with the global marketplace. We strive to offer them increased convenience and control over when their package will be delivered. As part of this, we have also been active on social media to promote our products and services awareness.

How do you plan on expanding UPS’ market shares across the Sultanate in the medium term?

Developing customer loyalty by offering a consistent and customized service offering remains our focus. To this end, we have now enhanced our service coverage to include emerging economic hubs such as Duqm, doubled our delivery fleet and also made strategic investments toward upgrading our backend systems and warehouse infrastructure. We have also embarked on developing the retail vertical by opening new retail service locations in Duqm and downtown, and we will continue to consider further developments. We develop tailored solutions with small business customers in mind. We are committed to making last-mile delivery a competitive advantage.
