Bio
Mohit graduated from the University of Loughborough in 2013 with a bachelor of science in accounting and finance. Thereafter, he joined Al Tasnim Group and at present, he is chief executive officer of the group and is heading all group divisions.
As a pioneer of innovation in the cement products industry, Al Tasnim’s cement division has established itself as a premier supplier of cement products and services. We hold a substantial market share in the Muscat region with a robust and dedicated taskforce earmarked for each project. We have proactively set up three batching plants and mobilized our resources along with an experienced group of personnel to cater to the customized needs of our clients in Duqm. We have been supplying high grade concrete across Oman over the last four decades and are recognized as a quality concrete supplier. We are also one of the leading producers of asphalt in Oman; our plant in Duqm produces 200 tons per hour. We are excited about the business prospects in the Duqm area and are committed to the region’s development.
Al Tasnim has been a dynamic participant in bolstering the tourism and transportation sectors in the Sultanate and has been instrumental in creating some of the major integrated tourism complexes (ITCs) such as Al Mouj as well as the Redevelopment of Ras Al Hamra for PDO. We have also contributed significantly to the many prestigious hotels, such as the upcoming W Hotel and Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa. We offer premium end-to-end solutions, beginning with the initial work on barren land to the final shaping of resorts and hotels. In the transportation sector, our roads and infrastructure division has built a solid reputation, winning client appreciation that spurs the group toward further success. Our commitment to quality and safety regardless of the challenges is unwavering and paramount with respect to each one of our endeavors.
Our group constantly endeavors to meet and exceed its ICV commitments. In line with Oman’s vision to promote the growth of SMEs, Al Tasnim works closely with nearly 50 SMEs. We have also gone one step further by establishing a mentorship program for SMEs. Interested SMEs are screened, and, once selected, Al Tasnim mentors the selected companies to set up operations by providing structured assistance on recruitment, financing, and periodic performance monitoring to ensure they are profitable within a two-year period. The group is currently mentoring two SMEs. We were recently given an award by the Oman Economic Review (OER) for ‘Supporting National Efforts to Recruit and Develop Omani Cadres.’ It gives me pleasure to state that the group is on track to exceed its ICV target for 2018 and 2019.
From a small family business to a full-fledged organization with more than 30,000 employees, Al Tasnim has contributed and stands committed to the Sultanate’s growth and economic diversification. A key area of expansion is our fabrication and manufacturing facilities in Misfah, spread over 15,000sqm. The group is also developing capabilities in upstream oil and gas and downstream EPC projects. Additionally, with increased focus on green and sustainable energy, the group is widening its offerings in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and emissions control. We are running an initiative called ‘Project 10 10,’ which aims to grow our organization 10-fold in 10 years. We desire to achieve this growth in all aspects, such as employee satisfaction, turnover, and client satisfaction.
Each project we undertake is augmented by intensive research by our in-house resources and knowledge data bank. All processes at Al Tasnim are integrated as a result of the digitalization of our entire operations. Equally important, we are steadfast in our mission to take the right steps toward following superior practices in managing and developing human resources. Our highly skilled workforce, together with state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology, delivers premium quality performance every time.
