What is LEAN Services’ story, and how did it decide to establish itself as Kuwait’s first cloud-verified service provider?

The idea behind LEAN started with the goal to create an IT services company focused on large enterprises. The local cloud was a gap in the market that no one was serving. We started the business in 2019, and the pandemic hit as we built our technology; however, when the country opened up in July 2020, we were up and running. When it came to deploying the cloud, we did not just clone something that already existed. LEAN had significant ideas on how to deliver the cloud in Kuwait. We chose to use private data links instead of the internet because Kuwait has extensive telecommunications networks. As a result, one could connect to the cloud using dedicated and secure data links, we could do away with the need for the internet and all the security risks that come with it. From a technological point of view, this was one of the most significant decisions that gave us an advantage over public clouds and other deployments. After the pandemic, clients were more open to the concept of remote work. Many gradually started to understand the value of our work and believe in us. In the beginning, LEAN was an unknown company. We gradually earned people’s trust, and we went from there.

How has LEAN addressed client hesitations toward cloud adoption?

We understand the needs and worries of the IT professionals and strive to address all their fears and concerns, whether it be related to the security of our platform and their assets, or the ease by which they can conduct their day-to-day tasks. After the initial executive presentation, we conduct technical workshops for the IT staff to understand the capabilities of our cloud platform and how they can utilize its features to best suit their interests, and if required, we conduct a live demo so they can see everything firsthand. Our core team always remains closely connected to our clients to continuously understand their pain points, problems, and their ever-evolving needs. We view the relationship between LEAN and our clients as an ongoing commitment.
