Mubarak Al Sulaiti founded Al Sulaiti Law Firm in 2002, which since then has become one of the most reputable law firms in Qatar. Al Sulaiti acquired a bachelor’s degree in law from Beirut Arab University in 1997 and is currently admitted to the Qatari Bar Association as a Cassation Advocate. In 2014, he became member of the board of the Qatari Bar Association. He has an extensive local and international network and is member of the Arab Lawyers Union, the International Bar Association, the Italian Business Center in Qatar, and RexSport Association. He was formerly a member of FIFA Players’ Status Committee.

Al Sulaiti Law Firm strives to be a global firm with a regional outlook and implements this philosophy in its daily practice.

Al Sulaiti Law Firm recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. How do you reflect on its growth, evolution, and contribution to Qatar?

Our 15th anniversary was indeed a special celebration, and the Minister of Justice inaugurated the event. The anniversary was held on the same day as the opening ceremony of our new offices in Doha Tower. Our relocation was a major accomplishment for the firm and has allowed us to open new doors to international and local opportunities, and we were crowned Qatar Law Firm of the Year 2018 at the LexisNexis Awards. We have always striven to be the best we can by providing top quality legal service through our professional qualified associates and consultants.

What is your vision for further local and international expansion?

Our vision is to be a global firm with a regional outlook, which we make sure to implement in our daily practice. The firm participates in and sponsors several international conferences as a tool to broaden its international network, such as the International Bar Association (IBA) Annual Conference, which we joined in 2005. We have recently signed partnerships with law firms around the world, including in Italy, Turkey, and Kuwait, among others.

What makes Al Sulaiti Law Firm the right fit for international companies operating in Qatar?

With more than 15 years of experience, we have fast become one of the most prominent and reputable firms in Qatar. We are one of the founding members of MENA City Lawyers, an organization that links five law firms in North Africa and the Gulf, and have highly qualified lawyers from Egypt, France, Italy, the UK, India, Lebanon, and more.

How have you bridged the gap between the legal traditions of your clients and Qatar’s?

We provide services to link the gap between international and local legal systems at the local and regional level. This allows our clients to be more at ease to deal with lawyers by choosing to speak in the language they feel more comfortable discussing their case with. In addition to that, we have a professional training program for associates at all levels to allow them to constantly improve their social, negotiation, and communication skills. Employee satisfaction is crucial to having a successful law firm. Our attention and keenness to provide professional legal services is what ranks us among the most prominent law firms. We are also keen to keep our attention on details in dealing with our clients from the first meeting all the way to providing after-service support. We keep communicating with our client on a regular basis and providing them with all the information, details, and steps we take. This is how we establish trust with our clients.

What are your objectives and expectations for the coming year?

In our relentless pursuit of growth and business development, we are implementing a 10-year plan to maintain our rate of progress and growth. Such success is due to our ability to recruit qualified lawyers and legal advisers to our team. Since we are a Qatari law firm with a regional reach and global outlook, we adopt effective policies aimed at diversifying our scope of work with the most talented lawyers and professional legal advisors available in the market.
