Jennifer Murillo

Country Manager, Forcepoint

Nearshoring is pushing greater digital transformation, and today we work with different types of companies, from small ones to government and financial institutions. Forcepoint considers itself in one way or another a complement to many of those companies. We represent the cybersecurity part, which is extremely broad. We are more focused on user and data protection. In that sense, our work is also extremely relevant and vital to various industries. Part of our slogan is to make cybersecurity much simpler. In 2022, we launched our Forcepoint ONE solution in which we mainly cover the vectors in the communication part to the cloud part and the web part. Also, we ensure the data, web, cloud, and applications parts all work well which each other, which is mainly the ways with which users interact. This year, the market has been growing well because it is a platform that does not require infrastructure, since it is on the cloud and enables easy access to the platform. We also do not need to create different policies for each of the solutions within Forcepoint ONE, which improves the overall administration part. Also, users can gain access to a platform where their data is secure and reliable, and where they can also access them through any device.

Jorge Morera

Managing Director, Jomtel Telecomunicaciones

Right now, 90% of our work is with public sector while the remainder is with the private sector. We are however seeking a more equitable balance by looking for solutions that are more tailored to sectors such as retail as well as commercial solutions for homes. At the moment, we work with major companies such as Aeromexico and Palacio de Hierro, and we would like to cover more of the industrial and commercial area in Mexico, without forgetting the governmental sector. In February, we won a contract to equip and convert 6,500 patrol vehicles for the national guard. At the end of the day, our aim is to grow in terms of sales and human capital and continue to meet the expectations of our customers. We also plan to further grow our business within the private sector and expand further into Latam and the US. We are currently finalizing details on projects in Panama, Guatemala, and El Salvador as well as in the US. Our plan is to widen our existing portfolio rather than open new ones. We are also pleased and proud to have won an award for best distributor of surveillance systems in 2023 for a global brand of patrol cars for the third year running.

Aluisio Figueiredo

CEO, ISS

Infrastructure has for long been an issue in Latam, and most times, not up to par with international surveillance standards. We have to work with an ecosystem to get up to speed with what is required, in terms of bandwidth, stability and technology as a whole. In Mexico, ISS is split between private- and public-sector clients, with the public sector being our main vertical regarding smart cities. We have installed our solutions in numerous cities, including Mexico City, where we currently manage over 65,000 camera channels and 800 LPR license plate recognition systems. All the cameras one sees in Mexico City are controlled by ISS. We also have projects in Nuevo Léon and Quintana Roo and are strong in smart and safe cities. Our second focus are projects involving critical infrastructure, including oil and gas, correctional facilities, ports, places critical to the economy and that need to be constantly operational, such as prisons. Our third area of expertise and proven track record is transportation, and urban mobility, where I see Mexico advancing rapidly, such as with the use of cashless toll roads. We see transportation as a vertical that is providing us with a number of opportunities. Logistics is another area due to the US investment in manufacturing in the northern Mexico.
