"Saudi Arabia has undergone significant growth over the past four decades. Since the discovery of oil, our leaders have made it a priority to transform the country and develop its infrastructure."
Can you brief our readers about the evolution of the sector and of your company?

Saudi Arabia has undergone significant growth over the past four decades. Since the discovery of oil, our leaders have made it a priority to transform the country and develop its infrastructure. The speed of this transformation has been impressive, with major Saudi cities expanding and becoming major economic centers with significant market size and demand, particularly in the automotive sector. And wherever there is construction and a growing economy, vehicles are needed. Ford Motors has been in Saudi Arabia since the Kingdom discovered oil, with the President of the United States of America gifting King Abdulaziz multiple Ford cars. Al Jazirah Vehicles has tens of points of sales and business outlets that are dedicated to Ford and Lincoln across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For almost four decades, Al Jazirah Vehicles has served and contributed to the growth of the Saudi market and economy and has grown with it by catering to the growing market demand. Ford and Al Jazirah Vehicles have forged a very strong bond over the years, and we are proud of the great relationship with the Ford family and company. As a family business, we share similar values and company structures with Ford, as well as a strong culture and heritage in Saudi, which is focused on welcoming guests and providing ongoing staff training. This differentiates Al Jazirah Vehicles from other companies in the market. We always seek to improve our customers’ journey and provide them with maximum convenience and quality services.

In a market characterized by fierce competition how do you maintain your leading position and reputation?

We maintain our leading position and reputation by quickly adapting to best practices and having a solid marketing team. In collaboration with Ford, we invented a new way of marketing in the auto sector in multiple areas. For example, we sale our vehicles on Hungerstation which is a lead delivery platform in Saudi Arabia. We have a perfect understanding of the market, its trends, and all the segments driving demand. Excellent products combined with an impeccable after-sale service with have shaped our reputation in the market and set us apart from our competitors. We provide a unified number for customers to call in for requests and assistance. Our in-house call center is completely staffed by women to promote greater equality in the Saudi workforce. We also collaborate with the Saudi tourism authorities to benefit from our wide portfolio of products and services. As the custodians of Ford, Lincoln, and Polaris brands that are leaders in offroad performance and that are proudly built for the great outdoors, customers can book a ticket through website and enjoy a fun-packed day to test drive our products. We have the best products, including sports cars and multi-purpose trucks. Through our dealership, we own one of the top three leasing companies, which provides clients with full logistics solutions. We have strong and longstanding partnerships within the private sector, supplying highly customizable and reliable range of specialty vehicles such as ambulances, firefighting trucks, as well as specially equipped police and defense cars. We supply Saudi Aramco with heavy-duty vehicles in support of its massive operations in oil and gas. In the event of an accident, we handle the repairs and provide a substitute vehicle. Our goal is to provide clients with a worry-free solution whereby they do not have to think about logistics.

What are your short-term objectives on your agenda?

Our short-term objectives include doubling our sales volumes in 2023. Although Saudi is witnessing an amazing and aspirational market growth, the market is yet to go back to its original potential. Our growth plans are reflected in the targets that we have set for our ambitious and highly competitive sales teams. We have just recently entered a new segment: the affordable SUVs. We launched this segment back in November 2022, and it has quickly become one of our bestselling products. We expect SUVs to further drive our growth in the short term. In terms of aftersales, we have set and realized targets achieved by few Ford and Lincoln markets around the globe. 2022 was one of the strongest years in the history of Al Jazirah Vehicles in aftersales, and we intend to develop achievements every year moving forward.
