The hotel opened up its doors in September 2011, and the most important thing for us during the first months of activity is to put the hotel in the market. The name is already well known, because we are a worldwide brand.
We are strongly developing the business segment of our operations, because we want to become a leading company in the sector. We have 20 meeting rooms, and we are one of the only hotels in the country with a large amphitheater with the capacity for more than 500 people.
Kempinski Hotel Badamdar will be full during Eurovision 2012, a very important event for the whole country. We have developed a reasonable and competitive price policy during events like the song competition.

We did a large refreshing for the whole hotel and its facilities last year. In addition, we invested a lot in the development of our standards to be more international and achieve further success.
The tourism sector in Azerbaijan has rapidly developed in the last few years, and naming 2011 as the “Year of Tourism“ importantly boosted such development, when the government successfully started implementing large projects; some of them already completed.
The Eurovision Song Contest itself will certainly attract a lot of additional tourists to Azerbaijan. Visitors will see that the country has more to show than just its oil and gas industry.
