We have seen much enthusiasm for our newfound status as an independent legal entity in Kuwait, not only because it allows us to deliver solutions to patients faster, but also because it allows us to better interact with physicians and key stakeholders. As the country’s first healthcare company with direct legal presence, we can sense the market’s excitement for our future growth. Additionally, Kuwait’s market exhibits a distinct volition that prioritizes the patient while also becoming more cost-conscious. In pursuit of greater efficiency, the Ministry of Health is closely monitoring each company’s performance and prioritizing the best options for patients in a digital world and is naturally concerned about data security. In parallel, the private sector is growing, making it easier to implement digital solutions. Furthermore, the construction of new hospitals and projects in Kuwait has increased demand for our products.
Again, the implementation of digitization has created an advantage for our company to introduce digital health solutions to the region, which is an unprecedented initiative. Within every market lies its opportunities and challenges. Our company has noted traditional business models and lack of digitization as the main sources of challenge. Traditional bureaucratic processes can create inefficiency due to their time-consuming nature, which also plays its hand in a lack of digitization; this is exactly where Roche Diagnostics can help in Kuwait and the Middle East in general. Roche has not only leveraged this digital moment within Kuwait but also spearheaded the improvement of digital services within the region. Through our digital health solutions, a first of its kind in Kuwait, we have simultaneously improved patient outcomes and supported our healthcare professionals. We are also thrilled about our other services, which include lab management solutions, diagnostic devices that seamlessly integrate with the existing tech within the Kuwaiti region, application ordering for labs, and comprehensive genomic profiling.
