Event Description

The purpose of this conference is to review recent experiences in this field and highlight lessons learned and identify critical gaps to be addressed. The event seeks to explore inter-sectoral partnerships as a means to achieving sustainable waste management systems. Point of departure is that the highest level of service and maximum benefit is gained when the municipality sees its waste management mandate and responsibilities clearly, but nevertheless can make use of the strengths of the various other actors such as Government authorities, private sector and social organizations.
