TBY and Ithraa announce strategic partnership

Muscat, October 3, 2019—Representatives from TBY and Ithraa, the Sultanate’s inward investment and export development agency, signed a publishing agreement to solidify their seven-year partnership. In association with Ithraa, TBY will continue its research to provide the most realistic and accurate coverage of major investment opportunities in the Sultanate, devoting special attention to the rising importance of innovation in driving the transformation set by Vision 2040.
The publishing agreement was signed by Ishaq Al Busaidi, Director General for Marketing and Media at Ithraa, and Elena Barreiro, Country Manager for Oman at TBY.
Under the agreement, Ithraa will provide valuable input and editorial guidance on the most important topics to be covered in The Business Year: Oman 2020, providing the most accurate information and analysis that will help showcase Oman’s transformation under Vision 2040.
2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the modern Blessed Renaissance march led by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. TBY will celebrate Oman’s 50th anniversary with a special edition on innovation. Elena Barreiro shared her insights about the latest publication: “This year our research will be the most forward-looking ever on the Omani economy, as we will analyze all the main factors that will allow the Sultanate to become an innovative, diversified, and people-centric country,” adding that The Business Year: Oman 2020 will “cover and explore concepts such as e-government services, fintech, Industry 4.0, future of work, automation, and big data in detail and look at how the public and private sectors are embracing innovation to achieve the KPIs of Vision 2040.”
