TBY pens MoU with the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan

TBY and Atameken, Kazakhstan’s National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, have signed a far-reaching partnership to facilitate the publication of The Business Year: Kazakhstan 2017. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Giuliana Caruso, Country Manager for TBY Kazakhstan, and Tulemis Shotanov, Deputy Chairman at Atameken.

Atameken is a non-profit organization representing the interests of small, medium, and large businesses in Kazakhstan to increase their negotiation power with the government. The partnership gives TBY extensive access to information and leaders of both local and international businesses conducting operations in the country.

Commenting on the partnership, Ms. Caruso noted that both parties will largely benefit from working together. “TBY’s ultimate goal is to showcase the myriad of investment opportunities offered by Kazakhstan as it embarks on its diversification drive, while Atameken’s mission is to improve the country’s business climate. Therefore this partnership is an invaluable tool to achieve the common goal of promoting Kazakhstan as an investment destination.”

Mr Shotanov stated: “Considering the growing interest of foreign investors in respect to Kazakhstan, Atameken has developed a regional map of economically attractive business projects, with the aim of giving information on investment opportunities in the country, which represents a common purpose of Atameken and TBY. In this regard, we express confidence that the signing of the MOU with TBY, a leading publisher in the field of annual reviews of economies of various countries, will be an excellent chance to give international exposure to Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities.”

The Business Year: Kazakhstan 2017, which features face-to-face interviews with senior executives and government officials across all sectors, will be published in early 2017 and will contain the views and insights of around 150 business leaders. Besides such interviews, TBY will feature sector analyses, focus articles and contributions from foreign Guest Speakers discussing Kazakhstan’s economic future. The publication will be widely distributed both locally and internationally at major economic conferences, investment forums, and events all over the world as well as the Astana EXPO.
