TBY signs agreement with British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC)

Kuala Lumpur, November 12, 2018 – In a bid to highlight the myriad investments and trade relations of British companies in Malaysia and to showcase new business opportunities in Malaysia to TBY’s high-profile readership around the world, the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) and TBY cemented a new partnership, which was signed by Jennifer Lopez, Executive Director of BMCC, and Carmen Fleurke, Country Manager of TBY. Also in attendance were Aaron See, Senior Marketing Communications Executive of BMCC, and Joseph van Rooij, Country Editor of TBY.

TBY and BMCC worked together before for the compilation of TBY’s 2017 publication on Malaysia, in the context of which they also co-organized a Roundtable on Fintech and the Innovation Ecosystem. The partnership for The Business Year Malaysia 2019 is significant since the publication will have a special focus on the relations between the United Kingdom and Malaysia.

BMCC is one of Southeast Asia’s most prolific chambers and aims to be a key partner in fostering UK-Malaysian trade and to represent the interests of British and Malaysian business communities.

The Business Year: Malaysia 2019 is set to be the most comprehensive English-language publication on the economy of Malaysia to date and will feature up to 150 interviews with the top executives from both the public and private sectors.

The Business Year: Malaysia 2019 will be launched in mid-2019, and will be the third annual edition published on Malaysia’s economy. The Business Year specializes in economic news, research on national economies, and business intelligence and has operations in over 35 countries.
