The Business Year and PROPANAMA ink MoU on new research
Latin America & Caribbean, Panama | Aug. 08, 2022
The Business Year (TBY) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Export and Investment Promotion Authority of Panama (PROPANAMA). The two will now pool resources as TBY accelerates its research ahead of the publication of The Business Year: Panama 2023.
TBY, a global media group that has been providing investors, businesses, and governments with first-hand insights into the world’s most dynamic markets for over a decade, aims to showcase Panama’s credentials as a hub for sustainable business and investment in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Business Year: Panama 2023 will feature dozens of interviews with business leaders from across the economy, bringing their sentiments to the local and international business community, as well as a range of news and analysis. It will be a key resource for investors eyeing the Central American nation and a reference for those seeking insights into the most significant sectors of the economy. The partnership between TBY and PROPANAMA reflects a common goal of promoting and showcasing the country as a growing investment destination.
Carmen Gisela Vergara, Executive Director of PROPANAMA, and Lorena Pulido, Country Manager of The Business Year in Panama, inked the MoU at a meeting in Panama City. “This fruitful alliance between PROPANAMA and The Business Year will contribute to the economic heft and international promotion of the Republic of Panama,” said Vergara. On behalf of TBY, Pulido stated; “Our research on the local economy will be enriched thanks to this MoU signed with PROPANAMA, which is the perfect partner in this regard. It is the first independent Panamanian entity the sole mission of which is to promote export investments.”
The Business Year: Panama 2023 will be distributed both inside and outside the country. The publication will be also available on key business information platforms, such as Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon, Dow Jones Factiva, and FactSet. It will also be available on PressReader and Google Books and at thebusinessyear.com.
