The Business Year Signs MoU with The American Society of Mexico
Latin America & Caribbean, Mexico | Aug. 23, 2023
Mexico City, August 22, 2023—The Business Year, a global media group that has been providing investors, businesses, and governments with first-hand insights into the world’s most dynamic markets for over a decade, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The American Society of Mexico. This agreement marks a significant moment of cooperation between both organizations to foster dialogue and understanding on economic and business matters in Mexico and the US.
The MoU was signed by Alejandra Gómez, Country Director at The Business Year, and Larry Rubin, President of The American Society of Mexico. This strategic collaboration will enable both organizations to combine efforts in conducting joint research, events, and projects that promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the business and economic realms between Mexico and the world.
With a special focus on key sectors such as green energy, mining, technology, logistics and transport, and more, The Business Year and The American Society of Mexico plan to produce special reports and events providing detailed insights and analysis on Mexico’s position in the global market—a valuable resource for investors, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers seeking to understand the opportunities and challenges in the country.
The MoU recognizes the essential role both organizations play in promoting dialogue and collaboration around sustainable growth and prosperity in Mexico. This agreement aligns with The Business Year’s mission to provide deep and insightful insights into global and local markets, while The American Society of Mexico is dedicated to strengthening ties between the US and Mexico through educational, cultural, and social events.
The research and outcomes of this collaboration will be widely disseminated both nationally and internationally through a range of digital platforms. Reports and related content will be available on major business information platforms, including Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon, Dow Jones Factiva, and FactSet, as well as on PressReader, Google Books, Issuu, and at thebusinessyear.com.
Additionally, as part of this MoU, TBY will also participate as media partner in the upcoming 2nd Binational Convention, “Nearshoring: Moving Forward Together,”which will be held on September 5 and is being organized by The American Society of Mexico. The event builds on the resounding success of the inaugural Binational Convention held in September 2022, a landmark occasion that not only celebrated the 80th anniversary of The American Society of Mexico, but also marked the commemoration of 200 years of bilateral relations between the US and Mexico.
