International Sales Executive TBY International

Our international sales executives, acting as Country Managers (CMs), are based in one of the 30+ countries we cover and are tasked with scheduling interviews with some of the top executives, policymakers, and investors in the country. CMs are also responsible for sales of advertising in our publications to a variety of clients. The CM is paired with a Country Editor who is responsible for writing articles and conducting interviews. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills as it requires creating a network effectively from scratch and then leveraging this network to meet and interview influential people.
Candidates should feel comfortable meeting executives, royal family members, and ministers. They should be adventurous and confident that they can establish friendships quickly in a new country. They should also be prepared to work hard and be largely self-directed.
Compensation is based predominately on commissions, but many CMs earn over EUR60-70k annually after an initial training period.
As a Country Manager at TBY, you would be:
- Based abroad for 11 months every year in a variety of international destinations spending an average of 3-8 months in each country.
- Working in a team of 2-3, responsible for gathering advertising for our publications and for implementing the project strategy set by the Head Office.
- Preparing and conducting meetings with the world’s top decision makers (presidents, ministers, chairpeople, CEOs, etc.).
Requirements
- University graduates with a sound knowledge of international, political, business, and economic affairs.
- Perfect command of both written and spoken English. Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish, French, Portuguese, or Arabic is a plus.
- Commercial and business acumen. Prior experience in sales is preferred but not compulsory.
- Outstanding personal presentation.
- Excellent organizational, networking, and interpersonal skills to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent and self-motivated—takes on big challenges, driven to deliver, and at ease with working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Self-starter, functioning well within a team environment while being capable of working independently. Must demonstrate superior problem solving and communications skills.

Country EditorTBY International

The Country Editor (CE) position is an editorial and journalistic position involving significant travel. Our CEs are based in one of the 30+ countries we cover and are tasked with scheduling and conducting interviews with some of the top executives, policymakers, and investors in that country. CEs also write articles for our publications and website, as well as support advertising sales through research. The CE is paired with a Country Manager who is responsible for advertising sales.
This role requires excellent interpersonal skills as it requires extensive contact with high-level officials and businesspeople. It also requires strong economic knowledge and language skills. Editors are tasked with a significant amount of writing and research. Over the course of the 4-8 months you are based in a country, you become an expert on that nation’s economic reality.
Candidates should feel comfortable meeting executives, royal family members, and ministers. They should be adventurous and confident that they can establish friendships quickly in a new country. They should also be prepared to work hard and be largely self-directed.
Compensation is in line with global standards, and is based partially on commissions. Many CEs earn over EUR50k annually after an initial training period. Accommodation, transportation, communication, and other work-related expenses are covered by TBY while you are in the field, and international health insurance is provided.
As a Country Editor at TBY, you would be:

- Working in a team of 2-3, responsible for analysing and identifying leading industry players, conducting interviews with world’s top decision makers (presidents, ministers, chairpeople, CEOs, etc.), collecting first-hand information, and writing authoritative articles.
Requirements
- University graduates with a sound knowledge of international, political, business, and economic affairs.
- Perfect command of both written and spoken English. Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish, French, Portuguese, or Arabic is a plus.
- Commercial and business acumen.
- An interest in traveling extensively and year-around availability, capable of adapting to new cultures and changing environments.
- Relevant journalistic experience or training.
- A working knowledge of current events, business, economics, and geopolitics.
- Strong work ethic.
